Title: Senior Benefits Analyst – Pension Administration

Position Overview:

Is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of tasks required to provide participants with the value of their pension benefit, ensure timely and accurate payment of the participants pension benefit, supporting other parts of the organization with respect to providing answers to participants pension related questions and any necessary systems testing related to the pension plans to which they are assigned.

  • QA of Intents, MRD’s, Batch Terminations, True Ups, Disability, QDRO, FICA and Proxy Calculations

  • QA of Estimates for highlight compensated employees or complex calculation errors.

  • Process required data updates to reduce on-going manual calculations

  • Address all types of requests from the service center

  • Review and mail fulfilment to participants

  • Testing (Pre & Post) for monthly production moves (including regression batches)

  • QA of Death calculations for Beneficiary Support Team

  • QA Deferred Survivor Benefit Commencement Packages

  • Provide final analysis for internal Escalations as needed

  • Process Orphans – perform data research, request data updates to participant record, process calculations, set up payments

  • Assist with management of/provide consultation for ad hoc projects

  • Support internal and external audits

  • Identify Calculation Issues and provide suggestions for changes to the calculator

  • Leading training activities including creation and execution of training for Operations and Service Center

  • Provide support for ad hoc data research and clean up

  • Back up Team lead with reporting or team assignments as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 to 6 years of Client/Plan experience which includes supporting Benefits Coordinators and Benefits Analyst with questions and processes.

  • Bachelors Degree in related field of study or equivalent work experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Customer service experience in dealing with consumers and clients.

  • Demonstrated experience with duties described in the Position Overview.
