Purpose

  • Monitors and negotiates liability settlement of medical claims with third parties or healthcare providers; seeks reimbursement from healthcare providers and/or ensures payment of claims by appropriate insurance carrier.

General

  • Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers

  • Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills

  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction

  • Moderate decision making authority guided by policies, procedures, and business operations protocol

Primary Responsibilities

  • Telephone and written communication with attorneys, paralegals, and insurance adjusters

  • Evaluating personal injury claims to determine reimbursement amounts

  • Negotiating and resolving reimbursement on behalf of our clients

  • Management of caseload within departmental guidelines

  • All other duties as assigned

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/ or Associates Degree in pre-law or paralegal is a plus but not required.

  • Previous experience and demonstrated knowledge of insurance subrogation and personal injury law desired.


  • An excellent candidate for this position must be highly detailed oriented

  • Possess a strong set of interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner both written and oral.

  • Ability to prioritize work and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to project deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred
