Job Description


The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for the organization and preparation of all daily mail received into the CA SDU to be captured by the OPEX AS7200 (automated mail opener and image scanner) and processed in the OpenKey system.


  1. Performs batching procedures and feeds all documents into the scanning equipment (OPEX AS7200).

  2. Maintain established productivity and quality standards, attentive to detail and highly accurate.

  3. Responsible for preventive maintenance of the OPEX, work stations and monitors. Reports any maintenance issues to lead or supervisor.

  4. Security Integrity of Financial Instruments and Department.

  5. Assists in other departments when needed.

  6. Observes professional standards of conduct, including professional behavior, attendance and dress code.

  7. Performs other duties as assigned.


Schedule to consist up to five days a week to include Saturdays. Shift hours vary between the hours of 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM. Schedules will vary and flexibility is a must. Overtime may be required.


High School diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in a high volume, time dictated transaction-processing environment preferred. Knowledge of the use of PC’s and related software required. Experience with OPEX and OpenKey is a plus. Must be detail oriented and able to perform with minimal supervision.


Position requires standing and sitting for long periods of time and considerable handling of paperwork, as well as keyboarding requiring repetitive motions with fingers.
