Summary Description:

The Conduent SME/Government Industry Specialist serves as a trusted advisor and partner within the State marketplace. The SME will establish, develop and maintain relationships with internal and assigned external customers/agencies at all levels to drive business and exceed established growth goals. The SME will achieve consistent, predictable quarterly revenue results and be the single point of contact/relationship manager for assigned territory. The SME will manage the “political process” in the assigned state/territory, working with Conduent sales executives, consultants and accounts. In order to drive the required pipeline and close business required for this position, it is necessary to have contacts and experience in the specified lines of business to position the candidate and the company for success.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists line of business by researching and understanding current and emerging Medicaid, regulations, and policies.

  • Support the company's Sales, Marketing, and Operations Departments.

  • Stays current with Medicaid trends and current state and recommends appropriate proactive analysis

  • Develop and conduct internal training as assigned

  • Attends Medicaid conferences, associations and other meetings with external customers as necessary.

  • Perform business requirements analysis specific to Medicaid projects

  • Collaborate with Solution Architect staff to design Medicaid solutions

  • Contribute to Medicaid related solutions and proposal development

  • Consult and provide guidance/assistance with waivers

  • Provide overall client development leadership and political strategy for Conduent activities in Public Sector.

  • Assists the LOBS in pipeline management and forecasting.

  • Works directly with the leadership of other Conduent organizations.

  • Responsible for community and political involvement, ensures that Conduent is viewed as a good corporate partner to the State and the local community.

  • Work with the appropriate LOB and sales team in qualifying opportunities, establishing effective solutions and executing effective win strategies.

  • Coordinates governmental relations activities with the Conduent Government Affairs Office and serves as primary Conduent local resource for contact with political leadership.

  • Develops and maintains executive-level relationships.

  • Works directly with corporate Executive Sponsor for state/region.

  • Must have high level understanding of political, operational, sales, new and existing business activities in state/region.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Subject Matter Expert with strong demonstrated experience within Health and Human Services.

  • Demonstrated experience with the applications said industry run, regulatory environment, buying patterns, funding sources, etc.

  • Experience in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) highly preferred. Our services focus on Medicaid eligibility, case management, disease tracking, etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree.
