The Account Manager plays a crucial role in the support and servicing of Consumer Finance Solutions Clients at Conduent. Responsibilities include analysis and solution definition, working closely with development and business resources to oversee and implement intricate changes. They must work closely with Conduent Management and with Conduent clients. They must have an in depth understanding of the consumer finance industry, client needs, problem solving, technical writing and documentation in support of project requirements, test plans, project oversight, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. They are responsible for developing and maintaining a strong relationship between Conduent and our clients and be able to manage the technical and business resources reporting to them.

Demonstrated experience in the consumer finance industry working with loan accounting and collections systems is required. Familiarity with the Shaw Retail and/or Collections systems is preferred. Candidate will be expected to be familiar with project management methods and processes. Excellent communication skills are critical in this role as the candidate will be interfacing with Programmers, Managers, and Clients directly. Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and IBM mainframe TSO/ISPF would be preferred.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the consumer finance industry

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound business judgment to determine logical solutions to customer business issues.

  • Ability to carry out Root Cause Analysis to identify issues and resolve with minimum of delay and impact

  • Project Management methodology experience

  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Relevant software experience: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, Excel, TSO/ISPF and CA File Master

  • Must possess the ability to work effectively under pressure

  • Must be a self-starter

  • Must be a team player capable of working well with others

  • Escalation management skills

  • Shaw Systems Retail and Collections experience is preferred

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of client's organization and industry

  • Identifies client operational strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement

  • Reviews and edits project specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution

  • Develops business specifications and system design specifications for client engagements

  • Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner

  • Communicates needed changes to development team

  • Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules

  • Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback

  • Manages resources in accordance with project schedule

  • Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients

  • Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project

  • Delivers informative, well-organized presentations

  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully

  • Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design

  • Understands how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other

  • Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets
