Our project team provides direct and ongoing support to the Rhode Island Medicaid program in such areas as health care purchasing, including contracts and agreements; health plan/provider oversight and monitoring; quality improvement, finance and actuarial support; business function support, including RIte Care member enrollment support and reconciliation; health plan performance review; health services utilization and data analysis; employer contact and enrollment for RIte Share; administrative/production support; and health policy and planning support, including federal regulatory analysis, waivers, and feasibility analyses of potential initiatives.

This position supports the Rite Share Premium Assistance Program (RS) and RI Affordable Health Care Coverage Assistance Program (AHCCA) at the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services. This position requires strong customer service skills, working with multiple systems, and detail oriented skills. Duties include:

  • Providing professional telephonic customer service to potential members, existing members, and employer groups

  • Analyzing reports to determine program eligibility

  • Researching and resolving client and employer issues

  • Working closely with enrollment staff to coordinate enrollment changes

  • Preparing spreadsheets and standard reports on monthly and quarterly basis

  • Routinely updating the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) and the Integrated Eligibility system

  • Importing, reviewing, and exporting United Health Infrastructure Project (UHIP) file

  • Reviewing, processing, and managing employers’ medical benefits and rate information in the Cost Effectiveness database, RI Bridges (UHIP) and MMIS.

  • Interpreting third party liability coverage types

  • Identify overpayment months for the current account receivables and data entry into recovery database

  • Performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for RI Bridges (UHIP) system releases

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5 years of customer service experience in health care/medical industry

  • Experience working with multiple computer systems, in addition to Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of team to achieve client objectives

  • Ability to manage high-paced, competing demands
